This one is a tempera resist picture. The paper is colored construction paper, which I then painted everything, aside from what would be black, in tempera paint. Once the tempera paint dried, I painted over the entire thing with ink. One that dried, I placed the picture in a tray and gently ran water on top of it, rubbing it gently with my fingers. The tempera colors start to show through as the ink washes away, and it gives the the once bright picture, a rough and grungy feel.
